My CD Singles/EPs/Promos Reference Collection
CD singles are a veritable treasure trove of tracks never found on full-length
releases. From unreleased tracks, to demos, to live tracks, to acoustic
versions, to remixes, to edits, to extended versions, the sky is the limit.
Unlike full-length CDs, the likelihood of a CD single or EP being reissued
is virtually nil. On the other hand, sometimes these rare tracks show up
as bonus tracks on full-length reissues, or on "Best of" compilations or
box sets. But there's nothing more annoying than having to go out an buy
the 17th reissue of Iron Maiden's "The Number of the Beast" just because it
has a track not found anywhere else...
